The blade is suitable for sawing in wood, OSB and plywood, melamine and laminate. The blade is applicable for crosscuts using a circular saw and mitre saw.

Steel is the heart of the blade and CMT uses the best tempered steel to reach a hardness of 42-44 Rockwell. CMT uses special formulas of carbide for each type of blade application.

Non-Stick Orange Shield Coating is a registered and trademarked non-stick protective coating bearing the characteristic orange color. A technopolymer (P.T.F.E. is spray-applied to the blade body then baked to enhance its protective properties.

Chemical compounds cannot attach this coating, it remains insoluble in water and solvents, is completely non-stick and diffuses and disperses heat.
